What is Kid Sight Vision Screening?
The Round Rock Noon Lions, with support of the Lions International District 2-S3, provide free vision screening for preschool and school age children in the Round Rock Area. Children may be screened starting at age 6 months. The screenings are performed using a PediaVision Spot machine. The SPOT machine allows Lions to provide a greater level of vision screening than was ever possible before. The vision screening process is non-invasive and easy to perform. In only seconds the SPOT machine takes 29 readings that can detect 6 different vision issues. The results are non-subjective, fast, accurate, and a standardized report is provided for the child’s parents and vision professionals.
The primary mission of the Kid Sight Vision Screenings is to provide services for children from 6 months to 5 years. This age group is not often screened because they simply do not complain about their vision. Research shows that vision problems of children in this age range may be completely resolved if addressed quickly.
The Round Rock Noon Lions Club is performing screenings at Preschool and Day Care facilities in the Round Rock Area. The screenings are completely free of charge. If you are interested in scheduling a screening at your facility, please start the conversation by sending us a message via the Contact Button below.
